extdata/px_index.json is a bilingual catalogue extract from the NSO PXWeb API.
It contains table identifiers, paths, titles, and available period ranges.
The original retrieval time was not recorded; nso_catalogue_status() reports
the bundled index's freshness as unknown rather than presenting it as current.

extdata/air_annual_cached.csv is an illustrative extract from NSO table
DT_NSO_2024_135V01 (annual air pollutant concentrations by station).
extdata/air_monthly_cached.csv.gz is an illustrative extract from the monthly
station tables DT_NSO_2400_015V1 through DT_NSO_2400_015V6. The environmental
surveillance vignette describes the selections it uses, including V1 (sulphur
dioxide), V2 (nitrogen dioxide), and V5 (fine particulate matter).
The tables are flattened into CSV
with source codes, labels, and numeric values. Original retrieval dates were
not recorded. These are historical teaching snapshots, not current releases;
consult the source labels for their observation periods and the official
service for current data. Source missing values remain missing.

extdata/indicators.json contains package-authored definitions and reviewed
query templates, together with attributed NSO identifiers, official labels,
and unit text. Each entry records its verification date and source URL.
No equivalence between different NSO services is implied by matching names.

Public response fixtures

Tests include abridged public catalogue and aggregate-response extracts from
https://data.1212.mn/, https://data.nso.mn/, and https://metadata.nso.mn/, plus
package-authored edge cases. Source identifiers and official text are retained
to test parsing and interpretation. Metadata collection records describe
forms and classifications; they do not contain underlying respondent records.
Their access and license categories are source metadata, not a grant of access
to confidential records. Consult each source record and its applicable terms.

Changes and attribution
-----------------------
The package reshapes, subsets, and caches source material for discovery,
illustration, and regression testing. It preserves source identifiers and
labels where available. These changes are the package maintainer's work and
do not imply endorsement by NSO. Reusers should attribute the National
Statistics Office of Mongolia, link the source and applicable license, state
any further changes, and verify current data before publication.
